Nathaniel Ward (b. 1983) lives and works in Brooklyn, NY as a photographer and curator. In 2006, Ward received his BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in the Department of Photography & Imaging after briefly studying painting and drawing at the Rhode Island School of Design. Ward has exhibited internationally since 2005, including exhibitions at the Center for Architecture, Gulf + Western Gallery and Broadway Gallery in New York and as a part of independently curated group exhibitions at the SCOPE Art Show, Miami and Art at Kirchberg, Luxembourg.
He received the Tobias Award for excellence in Photography and Imaging in 2005 and the Constantiner Fellowship in 2006.
His photographs have been published in Bon International Magazine (UK/Sweden: Art Trends, Volume 13, Spring 2008, “Bonfire of the Vanities”), Solutions Magazine (US), and Toys and American Culture: An Encyclopedia (US). His work has also been featured online in Artinfo.com’s Discover New Talent, the Exposure Project, and Humble Art’s Foundation’s Group Show; to which he was subsequently named curator.
